My name is Peter Shmigel. I am an environmental and public affairs professional.
An increasing number of people in business, governments, and the community are trying to "connect the dots" for better sustainability results. I work with them to:
- look at what’s around us and learn about it;
- talk to and consider other people who are involved;
- think about what’s possible;
- create new futures and plan how best to get there, and;
- do better.
My practice covers what I call both the "hardware" and the "humanware", the "walking the walk" and the "talking the talk":
- Sustainability strategy and management counsel, and;
- Sustainability communications, including facilitation, community consultation and stakeholder engagement, and public policy counsel.
It is not only possible but critical to achieve a better balance of financial, social and environmental approaches going forward. To succeed, such approaches need to be “of the people, by the people, and for the people" and based on enhancing rather than diminishing individual liberty and responsibility. |
